Class Description:
Stacey teaches all of her Hatha yoga classes as ViniYoga classes in the lineage of T.K.V. Desikachar. She has studied deeply in this tradition and is expertly trained and experienced to deliver high-level instruction to practitioners. https://www.viniyoga.com
What does ViniYoga mean?
Viniyoga means “appropriate application”. Within the context of a yoga class, this means that the instruction is adapted to meet the needs of the student. Viniyoga is a fluid instruction, ever-changing to address the priorities of the students. The practices are breath-centric meaning all movement is integrated with an emphasis on the breath leading the process. Receiving the function (benefit) over the form (how it looks) is key in this tradition.
What are the tools of Yoga?

Movement
Breath and breath techniques (pranayama)

Relaxation/visualization
**every class has movement, breath-work and relaxation
